LONDON (May 6, 2014) – In recognition of the passion of the supporters of Manchester United,  Aon plc (NYSE:AON), the leading global provider of risk management and human resource consulting and outsourcing, honored three of the Club’s most faithful supporters at halftime of the May 3 match against Sunderland.

The supporters were met on the pitch of Old Trafford by Greg Case, Aon president and CEO, who delivered brief remarks to the crowd of over 75,000 attendees and presented each honoree with a framed commemorative jersey.

The three supporters who were honored were:

•             Geoffrey Fink – one of the longest serving season ticket holders – 69 years

•             Tom Anson – furthest traveled season ticket holder – 10,000 miles traveled

•             Pattie Walsh – furthest traveled season ticket holder – 10,000 miles traveled

“It’s a great privilege to celebrate and recognize three of Manchester United’s most loyal supporters,” said Case. “Aon shares your passion for Manchester United, and we look forward to supporting you and the Club in the coming years.” 

In November 2013, Aon recognized five of Manchester United’s longest-serving employees at halftime of the Club’s match against Arsenal. Each of the five employees, all of whom represented over 30 years of service to the club, received personalized jerseys denoting their years of service. 

As part of its global partnership with Manchester United, Aon is the first ever partner of the club’s renowned training center, which is named the Aon Training Complex.  It is a state-of-the-art facility where Aon will provide best-in-class advice to the Club and clients on issues such as talent, health, risk management, retirement, data and analytics, and capital.
