Chicago, March 5, 2014 -- Aon eSolutions, the technology-solutions business of Aon plc (NYSE: AON), announced today that it has received third-party ISO 27001:2005 certification for its RIScloud^® branded customer data centers and for Aon eSolutions offices in the United States and Europe. This certification verifies that the ISO information security standards are an integrated component of all company business processes and technology systems. Aon eSolutions’ compliance with ISO 27001:2005 was certified by BSI Group, an independent provider of management systems assessment and certification.

The ISO 27001:2005 standard specifies a formal information security management system that identifies, designs and implements the security controls necessary to help ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets, including customer data. External ISO 27001:2005 certification demonstrates Aon eSolutions’ continuing commitment to robust security and regulatory frameworks and standards in servicing its growing global customer base. In addition to ISO 27001:2005 certification, Aon eSolutions earned URAC HIPAA Security for Business Associate and Covered Entity accreditation in 2012 and conducts annual SSAE16/ISAE 3402 audit reviews through Ernst & Young.
