Aon eSolutions, the technology solutions business of Aon plc (NYSE: AON), today unveiled RiskConsole UX, a significant upgrade to an industry leading risk management information system. This upgrade features more than 100 new capabilities and showcases a more powerful version of RiskConsole Intelligent Mapping, a reporting and visualization tool displaying risk data in a geographic context.

Additionally, Aon eSolutions launches a RMIS designed specifically for organizations that have smaller budgets, but need the capabilities of a powerful RMIS.

RiskConsole UX

RiskConsole UX is a cloud-based RMIS that enables users to internally benchmark and monitor key performance indicators and transform risk data into action-oriented business intelligence to optimize total cost of risk. Specifically, it is configured to integrate exposures, policies, claims, contracts, litigation and other data from external and internal sources to generate enterprise-wide action-oriented business intelligence.

The 100+ upgrades were made to increase the number of self-service capabilities, overall functionality and appearance. Key upgrades include:

• Full integration of the business intelligence tool within MyConsole, the user-customized dashboard screens in RiskConsole UX
• Revamped user navigation that improves usability, eliminates popup windows and introduces a new tabbed interface that allows users to keep better track of their activity within the system
• Increased customization capabilities and intuitive usability that allows users to customize and maintain the system and MyConsole content
• Improved export options and business intelligence report options, including easier access to the business intelligence  report content
• Enhanced screen design that improves readability and ease of use
• Rewritten interfaces to support multiple browsers

RiskConsole UX Intelligent Mapping

In conjunction with enhancements to its RiskConsole UX, Aon eSolutions made upgrades to RiskConsole’s Intelligent Mapping module. This mapping module, which is integrated within RiskConsole UX, is a reporting and visualization tool that displays risk data in geographic context.

To greatly improve the functionality and user aesthetics of the Intelligent Mapping, the module is now running on Esri Maps. This upgrade incorporates Intelligent Mapping into Esri Maps’ ArcGIS online platform and gives users access to a rich library of map content. This platform also allows users to publish and share secure map services for private and proprietary maps. For example, Intelligent Mapping module users will be able to access Aon Risk Solutions’ recently released 2014 Political Risk Map, which enables institutions to track their specific political risk exposures in emerging markets.

“The improvements made to Intelligent Mapping fulfill our clients’ demands to analyze data visually,” said Wimberly. “The tools and intuitive capabilities of the module help clients work with data efficiently and understand findings in a visual, clear snapshot.”

RiskConsole Express

Aon eSolutions’ new RiskConsole Express is an off-the-shelf version of the enterprise version of RiskConsole. It includes many of the most popular RiskConsole UX features at a lower cost. With RiskConsole Express, mid-sized companies can now track claims/incidents, policies and summary exposures as well as tap into high-tech reporting functions.

This tool helps risk managers overcome staffing limitations, negotiate premiums and terms of coverage more effectively and validate risk and insurance decisions, among other functions. The ultimate benefit is the ability to pinpoint and understand the total cost of risk.
