Business Insurance names two Aon executives as 2014 Women to Watch

LONDON (December 8, 2014) -- Aon plc (NYSE: AON) today announced that two executives have been named to Business Insurance magazine's 2014 Women to Watch list: Cary Grace, CEO, Aon Exchange Solutions and President of Strategy and Solutions at Aon Hewitt; and Carmen Ortiz-McGhee, Senior Vice President and Resident Sales Director – The Capital, Aon Risk Solutions.

One or more Aon leaders have been named to the Business Insurance Women to Watch list each year since the program was introduced in 2006. A total of 20 Aon leaders have been awarded the distinction.

Cary Grace serves as CEO of Aon Exchange Solutions, where she has accountability for Aon’s suite of market-leading exchange offerings, including the Aon Active Health Exchange, the largest private health exchange of its kind, and the Aon Retiree Health Exchange, which offers expert one-on-one guidance and support to help retirees shop, compare and enroll in the right plan for them. Aon expects more than 1.2 million employees, retirees and their eligible dependents from more than 100 companies to choose individual and employer-sponsored health benefits through Aon’s suite of private health exchanges. Additionally, Grace serves as Aon Hewitt’s President of Client Solutions & Strategy, where she is responsible for positioning the business for sustainable and profitable growth and building and taking the company’s talent, retirement and health strategies to market.

In her current role, Carmen Ortiz-McGhee is responsible for driving growth and market penetration for Aon Risk Solutions throughout Northern Virginia, the District of Columbia and Maryland. Previously, Ortiz-McGhee served as Executive Vice President of Sales for Aon Cornerstone Innovative Solutions. Aon Cornerstone is tasked with sourcing and vetting Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises, building strategic alliances and go–to-market strategies with them to meet the increasing demand by Aon's clients for inclusive subcontracting plans. Understanding the importance of diversity and its growing impact to business and revenue growth, Ortiz-McGhee is committed to increasing awareness of the value of diverse partnerships in the risk management and human resource arena – and their tremendous value to all stakeholders.

“Ensuring that our firm has an unmatched talent base is a strategic imperative for Aon,” said Greg Case, president and chief executive officer of Aon. “The work that Cary and Carmen do on behalf of Aon’s clients is the embodiment of our goal to attract and retain the best talent around the world. We are honored to have at least one Aon colleague named to this prestigious list for an eighth straight year.”
