Aon eSolutions Successfully Completes SAS 70 Type II Examination
Rigorous internal controls help RiskConsole clients comply with Sarbanes-Oxley Act
CHICAGO
(NYSE:AOC)

CHICAGO, March 18 -- Aon eSolutions Group, the leading provider of global browser-based risk management information systems, today announced it has recently completed a SAS 70 (Statement of Auditing Standards No. 70) Type II examination for the timeframe May 1, 2007 through October 31, 2007, which was conducted by Ernst & Young, a provider of assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services.

SAS 70 Type II is an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), which indicates that a service provider has undergone an examination of specified processes, procedures, and controls.

Aon eSolutions Group operates as a Software as a Service (SaaS) provider, offering Aon RiskConsole, its premier global risk management information system (RMIS), as a true on-demand browser-based solution. As a SaaS provider, Aon eSolutions becomes a critical, integrated component of a client’s information management strategy. The SAS 70 Type II examination provides clients with an independent third-party opinion providing reasonable assurance as to whether Aon RiskConsole has implemented controls that achieve specified control objectives and whether controls were operating with sufficient effectiveness to meet those control objectives.

Kathleen Burns, CEO of Aon eSolutions Group, remarked on the significance of the SAS 70 audit report, “By completing this examination, we have demonstrated our continued commitment to help support client efforts to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.”

Under the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act, public companies are required to report on their internal controls over financial reporting. As interpreted by SOX legislation, service providers who host, manage, and process client information are viewed as extensions of the companies they serve, and therefore, must also implement appropriate internal controls.

Aon eSolutions can provide clients utilizing the RiskConsole service offering the SAS 70 report which identifies the processes, procedures, and controls tested and results of the tests performed.
