CHICAGO, April 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aon Re Global, the world's largest provider of insurance brokerage and integrated capital solutions and a unit of Aon Corporation (NYSE: AOC), today announced the appointments of Brett Houghton and Brooks Crankshaw as managing directors of Aon Capital Markets. Houghton, 33, and Crankshaw, 45, will report to Paul Schultz, president of Aon Capital Markets.

Before joining Aon, Houghton was senior vice president in the structured finance group of Lehman Brothers, where he was responsible for the trading and product management of insurance-linked and other esoteric products. Houghton previously was a vice president in the company's fixed income and insurance products group. Before joining Lehman Brothers, he was in the investment and international insurance division at Prudential Insurance. Houghton received a bachelor's degree in mathematics and statistics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He is an associate of the Society of Actuaries and has been a speaker at numerous security industry conferences.

Crankshaw joins Aon from J.P. Morgan Securities, where as managing director of securitized products he integrated the firm's structured finance capability with its post-merger investment banking practice. Crankshaw originated, structured and invested in value-added financial transactions in the health care, retail and consumer products industries. Previously, he served as managing director and head of European asset-backed finance for Bank One Europe Limited in London. Crankshaw received a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
