Aon appoints Alfonso Valera as CEO Aon Re Iberia

LONDON, 18 April 2008 - Aon Re Global announces the appointment of Alfonso Valera as chief executive officer of Aon Re Iberia, with effect from 1 May 2008.

He takes over the role from Javier Esteban who will continue to work with Aon Re EMEA in a senior advisor position.

Alfonso has been general manager of Aon Re Iberia since 2005 and has served in several leadership positions in Aon Re over the last 17 years, including director of the Facultative division, as well as spending five years working as a senior broker in London.  He has a law degree from Complutense University of Madrid and an MBA from Instituto de Empresa Business School.
