Aon Corporation Ranks Number One Among Insurance Brokers by Placement Revenue

CHICAGO, July 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aon Corporation (NYSE: AOC) has been ranked as the world's largest insurance broker by "pure" placement revenue by Business Insurance, a leading weekly insurance publication published by Crain Communications. The ranking is published in the magazine's July 21 edition.

With 2007 commercial retail, wholesale, reinsurance and personal lines brokerage revenues of $5.753 billion, Aon bested its next largest competitor, Marsh & McLennan Companies, by $351 million, underscoring that more companies trust Aon to ensure they are ready to meet the challenges and opportunities they face.
