CHICAGO, July 24, 2008 - Impact Forecasting, LLC, a unit of Aon Corporation (NYSE: AOC), released the following update July 24 at 10 a.m. CDT regarding Hurricane Dolly. For more information, or to subscribe to Impact Forecasting's weekly "Cat Alerts" and get breaking news about global meteorological events, visit http://aon.mediaroom.com/index.php?s=63&item=251.

Based on current radar and surface data, Dolly continues to show a large area of circulation which is accompanied by numerous bands of showers and thunderstorms. The most active rain bands are currently located to the southeast of the center. The initial intensity has been lowered to 45 mph (75 kph). There have been numerous wind observations this morning of gusts exceeding 60 mph (95 kph). As Dolly continues to move further inland, it is expected to weaken and should become a remnant low within the next 24 hours. Despite the forecast weakening, Dolly has the potential to produce very heavy rains and significant inland flooding.

The center of Dolly continues to slowly track towards the west-northwest. The cyclone remains on the south side of a ridge of high pressure and this general track should continue until Dolly fully dissipates.
