Aon Consulting expands Scottish team to handle growing client base
Edinburgh
NYSE: AOC

EDINBURGH, 5 August 2008 - Aon Consulting is continuing to grow its benefit solutions team in Scotland with the appointment of two new consultants: Richard Strachan and Tom Clark. Bringing a combined 36 years’ industry experience Richard and Tom will be responsible for building and maintaining Aon Consulting's growing benefits solutions' client base.

Richard and Tom both previously worked for Standard Life Client Management, Standard Life's direct business. They are experts in the technical aspects relating to defined contribution (DC) pension arrangements and have demonstrable experience in the ways in which employers, trustees and scheme sponsors and scheme administrators can effectively communicate the benefits of their DC pensions.

Building upon their pensions expertise they enhance Aon's current offering by using existing Aon solutions such as actuarial services, and employer liability insurance to augment DC services.

Tom Clark, senior consultant, commented: "We are delighted to join Aon's benefit solutions team in Edinburgh. We relish the opportunity of being involved with both Aon's existing and future clients, offering a wide ranging consultancy proposition which was not previously available to us."

Richard Strachan, senior consultant, commented: "Joining Aon is exciting for us. We are now able to draw upon all of the resources that Aon can offer to deliver an end-to-end service and meet market demands.

Lorraine Montgomery, head of Scotland DC, commented: "Hiring two consultants of the calibre of Tom and Richard is a coup for Aon. We have always offered best practice consulting services and products to our clients, and I have no doubt they will help us continue to do so and build upon our success to date."

Ends
Note: Aon Consulting will be hosting a seminar for DC scheme sponsors and trustees on 24th September in Edinburgh covering topics such as minimising the risks of DC, pre-retirement planning and the latest thinking on personal accounts.
