Barry Greenstein Joins Aon Consulting's Corporate Transactions Practice

CHICAGO, Nov. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aon Consulting, the global human capital consulting organization of Aon Corporation (NYSE: AOC), announced today that Barry Greenstein has joined the firm as senior vice president in its Corporate Transactions group, which focuses on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and restructuring.

Greenstein will focus on serving Aon's private equity clients, with particular emphasis on due diligence and post-close portfolio services. Prior to joining Aon Consulting, Greenstein served as a senior actuary and principal in Mercer's New York office where he worked with private equity clients. He has more than 20 years of experience in human capital consulting, with the past 10 years exclusively devoted to corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and bankruptcies. He is an expert in benefits and compensation due diligence in the areas of pension plans, health and welfare programs, retiree medical, multiemployer plans, Financial Accounting Standards (FAS), supplemental executive benefits, cash or deferred arrangements, and analysis of legislative and regulatory changes in the funding and qualification arena.

Greenstein earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the State University of New York at Albany. He is an associate of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary, and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Greenstein joined Aon Consulting on Nov. 17, and is based in New York City. He reports to Arian.
