Aon Appoints Environmental Veteran to Oversee Risk Management Services for Clients in Far East, Asia and Australia

SINGAPORE/CHICAGO, Dec. 10, 2008 — Aon Corporation (NYSE: AOC), the world’s leading provider of global risk management and consulting services, today announced Jim Finnamore will join the firm in January as regional director of Aon Environmental Services Group, Asia-Pacific. Based in Singapore, he will coordinate the delivery of the unit’s services to clients in the APAC region.
 
Finnamore brings over 15 years of industry experience to Aon. He has held senior broking and underwriting positions with brokers and insurance companies in Europe, Bermuda and Asia. Most recently, Finnamore served as senior vice president for Marsh, where he developed and managed the company’s environmental liability practice for Asia.

He has managed all forms of environmental insurance, including site-specific liability, remediation cost overrun and lender liability programs. Finnamore’s specialized experience consists of extensive work in risk assessment, guaranteed maximum cost remediation contracts and financial modeling of exposures for industrial, insurance and banking clients. He also has advised governments and industry on a range of environmental matters, and was involved in placements of coverage for merger and acquisition transactions, large industrial accounts, construction projects and the international operations of global corporations.

Finnamore earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Imperial College in London and was one of three international recipients of Risk & Insurance Magazine’s Power Broker designation in 2008. He has authored numerous articles and guidance documents for private firms and governmental agencies.
