LONDON, April 5, 2017 - Aon plc (NYSE:AON), the leading global provider of risk management and human resources solutions, today announced the promotion of John G. Bruno to Chief Operations Officer for Aon.

Bruno joined Aon in 2014 as the Executive Vice President of Enterprise Innovation and Chief Information Officer. “We are constantly looking for ways to make it easier and more compelling for clients to expand their relationship with Aon,” said Greg Case, President and Chief Executive Officer. “John has substantially enhanced the manner in which we leverage technology to create value for our clients and I am confident he will find similar, innovative ways to improve our global business operations.”

Prior to joining Aon, Bruno held various senior leadership roles in Corporate Development, Field Operations and Information Technology at NCR, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch & Co., Symbol Technologies, Inc., and Cisco Systems.

“I am energized by the opportunity to make it easier for our colleagues to create value for our clients and align business operations to create further capacity for growth,” said John Bruno, Chief Operations Officer. “We are committed to bringing the full power of Aon to each of our clients and view the integration of our global business operations as critical to that goal.”

Bruno continues to have responsibility for Aon’s Technology organization in his new role, which is effective immediately.
