New Hires Boost Aon's Transaction Liability Unit

 

London – 18 November 2004 –  Aon has appointed Anka Taylor (Director) and James Boulton (Legal and Technical Advisor) to continue the growth of Aon’s Transaction Liability Unit (TLU).   The transaction team is part of Aon Professional Risks and specialises in arranging insurance in the M&A and IPO arena.

For the past 10 years Anka Taylor, who trained as a lawyer at MacFarlanes, has worked as a senior underwriter at Hiscox, initiating and developing the company’s M&A presence. Ms Taylor has underwritten a wide variety of multi-jurisdictional, high profile warranty & indemnity, tax, initial public offering and legal opinion risks.

Commenting on the appointment, Sarah Hughes an Executive Director within Aon Professional Risks said: “We are pleased to welcome Anka Taylor to TLU.  As one of the leading members of the M&A insurance industry, Anka’s underwriting experience, particularly in relation to tax, will be an invaluable enhancement to TLU.

“We are also delighted that James Boulton has joined us from Blake Dawson Waldron, a leading Australian corporate law firm,” Hughes added.

James Boulton is a qualified solicitor, having practised at the Victorian bar and has two years further M&A experience. He will specialise in the areas of warranty & indemnity and prospectus liability insurance.
