Aon to Welcome Manchester United to Australia in 2013

Sydney, December 13, 2012 – Aon plc (NYSE:AON), the leading global provider of risk management and human resources consulting and outsourcing services, today said it is looking forward to welcoming Manchester United to Australia in July 2013. Aon has been the principal partner and global shirt sponsor of Manchester United since 2010.

Manchester United, one of the most recognized brands in one of the world’s most popular sports, has won a record 19 English Premier League titles, a record 11 FA Cups, and three European championships. On December 10, the club announced that it will play an international exhibition match against the A-League All Stars on Saturday July 20 at Sydney's ANZ Stadium. This will be the only Australian appearance by Manchester United during the club's 2013 pre-season tour.

“As global advisors on the issues of risk and people, Aon always is connecting one part of the world to another. We are excited about the opportunity to help bring our sponsorship of Manchester United closer to our clients and prospects in Australia, which is a key market for our firm,” said Steve Nevett, Chairman, Pacific Region, Aon Risk Solutions. “The issues we help clients with every day; whether it is risk management, retirement or health care, all are equally relevant to the sport of football.

“Helping to bring Manchester United to Australia and showcase our services to clients and prospects is a prestigious opportunity for Aon. Just like Manchester United, Aon’s brand qualities of team work, superior execution, and the pursuit of excellence can empower results for our clients in a very unique and real way.”

With 29 offices and 1,600 employees, Aon is Australia’s leading provider of broking and consulting services for risk management, insurance transaction revenue, human capital consulting, and financial planning.

Australia has played an integral role in two of Aon’s most recent global employee engagement campaigns: Follow the Football and Pass It On. These two initiatives, aimed at uniting Aon’s 62,000 global colleagues with clients and communities through the firm’s partnership with Manchester United, stopped in more than 12 cities throughout Australia visiting countless colleagues along the way.

The Pass It On program’s tour of Australia, which started in Hobart in 2011 and ended in Sydney in 2012, resulted in a number of community outreach events aimed at improving the areas in which Aon colleagues work and live. From helping disadvantaged children with The Smith Family in Sydney to cleaning up parks and nature preserves with Conservation Volunteers in Brisbane, Aon’s Australian employees demonstrated what it means to be a team in order to give back to the communities that they call home.
