LONDON, 17 November 2011 – Aon Hewitt, the global human resource consulting and outsourcing business of Aon Corporation (NYSE:AON), has been appointed by the trustees of the University of St Andrews Pension Scheme to supply a broad range of services to the fund.

Aon Hewitt will provide the Scottish university's scheme with services including actuarial and investment advice, pensions administration and risk benefits consultancy. The fund is valued at £65 million and has 1300 members.

Peter Cabrelli, chair of the trustees of the University of St Andrew's scheme, said of the process to take on new advisers, “It was a very difficult decision for the trustees, with excellent submissions received from the short-listed advisers. However, on balance the trustee's decision to appoint Aon Hewitt was driven by the overall quality of the team."
