Aon Consulting delivers integrated benefits package for Getronics UK
London
NYSE: AOC

LONDON, 25 April 2008 - Following a business merger in 2005 and ongoing TUPE obligations, Aon Consulting has delivered a substantially enhanced flexible benefits package for Getronics UK, a leading information and communication technology service provider. The new flexible benefits programme is a demonstration of Aon’s integrated approach to providing employee benefits.

This year, after extensive employee consultation at the end of last year, Aon and Getronics have substantially enhanced the flexible benefits programme, "Choice," to better meet the changing requirements of its employees and its own corporate objectives.

Getronics were looking to focus on four core values: increasing personal choice; improving convenience; enhancing financial savings for employees; and supporting social responsibility.
With these values in mind, Aon and Getronics introduced a range of new benefits for 2008 including an innovative partnership with the UK's leading woodland conservation charity, the Woodland Trust enabling employees to offset part of their annual carbon emissions by planting trees; travel insurance; childcare vouchers; and the SpreeFlex Retail Discount Card, a prepaid card which entitles employees to discounts at various retailers.

Anthea Cassano, Compensation and Benefits Manager at Getronics UK, commented: "Since we implemented flexible benefits we have seen a very positive impact on the engagement of our work force and the programme has served as a useful vehicle for TUPE transfers which are common place in our contract based environment. We have been working very closely with Aon Consulting to ensure that our benefits are closely aligned with our corporate strategy and to produce a programme that reflects what employees really want.

“We are especially pleased to introduce the Woodland Trust benefit - an innovative scheme which will help employees offset their carbon footprints."

Gareth Ashley-Jones, head of flexible benefits at Aon Consulting, commented: "In designing this year’s programme, we took on board Getronics' corporate objectives of innovation and social responsibility as well as the feedback gathered by Getronics from employees during the year. This was crucial in updating the programme to ensure it continued to meet the needs of the people at Getronics. As well as introducing new benefits, we also introduced the new Spree retail card from P&MM to replace the previous benefit of paper retail vouchers as it was obvious from the feedback received that employees were looking for a more modern, convenient and flexible way of saving money on their shopping."
