LONDON 16 June 2014 – Aon Hewitt, the global talent, retirement and health solutions business of Aon plc (NYSE:AON) has announced that it has been appointed by the Northern Powergrid Group of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme (ESPS) to provide investment consultancy services.

Northern Powergrid operates the electricity distribution networks that provide power to homes and businesses in the North East, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire.  The Northern Powergrid Group of the ESPS has assets of approximately £1.3 billion and around 6,500 members.

Aon Hewitt provides pensions administration and actuarial services to the scheme, and will now provide investment advice, including regular guidance on strategy, asset allocation and manager structure.
