London  -  ^7th June 2004 - Aon Travel, part of Aon Limited, the insurance broking. risk management and human capital consultants, has been successful in winning the travel insurance broking business of online affiliate insurance provider, Essential Travel.

As part of the deal, Aon will oversee the service provided to Essential Travel clients and will work with the business to identify ways in which to develop new products and methods of distribution using Essential Travel's internet technology.

Commenting on the deal, Jeremy Edland, Head of Aon Travel, said: "Essential Travel is a market leader of travel insurance sold over the internet and operates an extremely impressive website and sales support service. We are delighted to be working with Essential Travel, further boosting our exposure in the growing travel insurance internet market".
