Chicago, IL (October 9, 2019) – Aon plc, the leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions, today announced Lori Goltermann, CEO, U.S. Commercial Risk and Health Solutions of Aon, was elected to the Board of Directors of The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers.

Goltermann was elected during The Council’s 106^th annual Insurance Leadership Forum (ILF) in Colorado Springs, Colo. The Insurance Leadership Forum has been instrumental to the commercial property/casualty insurance industry since its beginnings in 1913, and continues to be the premier industry meeting for market leaders worldwide.

Since joining Aon in 1993, Goltermann has spent decades growing and shaping the U.S. operations to position Aon as a leading professional services firm. Goltermann holds a bachelor’s degree from Washington University and completed executive programs at both Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. In 2016, Goltermann was named one of Business Insurance’s Women to Watch. In 2018, she was named one of Insurance Business America’s Hot 100 influencers in the insurance industry and in 2019, was named an Elite Woman in insurance.

The Council’s Board of Directors is comprised of the heads of top brokerage firms who provide strategic direction and guidance around industry initiatives and proactive advocacy for the commercial brokerage industry’s regulatory and compliance matters. “We look to our Board for their expertise and leadership as we continue to move the needle in the industry,” said Ken A.
