Aon appoints Lambros Lambrou to serve as Chief Strategy Officer

Lambrou will support “independent and connected” NFP strategy working closely with NFP CEO Doug Hammond, among other Aon Executive Committee initiatives

DUBLIN, May 14, 2025 - Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, announced today that the firm has appointed Lambros Lambrou to serve as Chief Strategy Officer for Aon, effective immediately.

As Chief Strategy Officer, Lambrou will take on responsibility for key Aon Executive Committee initiatives core to the firm’s Aon United strategy and 3x3 Plan, including support of Aon’s “independent and connected” NFP strategy. Aon recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of the close of the NFP acquisition, which has accelerated the firm’s access to the middle market and contributed meaningfully to the firm’s performance. Working closely with NFP CEO Doug Hammond and his leadership team, Lambrou will further reinforce points of connection that are leading to bringing the best of Aon and NFP to clients. Lambrou and Hammond will continue to report to Case.

“Lambros is a proven Aon leader with deep experience serving clients across Human Capital and Risk Capital,” said Case. “In collaboration with NFP’s leadership team and colleagues, Lambros will build on the momentum we have created together in the first year of our NFP partnership, as we deliver shared and distinctive content and capability to our clients.”

“I am excited to work more closely with Lambros and continue to drive the success of our ‘independent and connected’ strategy,” said Hammond. “Our first year as an Aon company included many positive outcomes and we are well positioned to deliver many more as we further align our expertise, capabilities and resources to meet the dynamic needs of our clients.”

With this transition, the firm has initiated an internal search for Lambros's successor as CEO of Human Capital, where he has helped drive industry-leading growth through the successful integration of the firm’s Health, Wealth and Talent solutions. Prior to leading Human Capital, Lambrou served as Aon’s global CEO of Commercial Risk and before that as Chief Commercial Officer and CEO of Global Specialties for Commercial Risk solutions. Earlier in his career, Lambrou served as CEO of Aon’s retail business in Australia, CEO of Aon’s Global Broking Centre in London, Chief Broking Officer of EMEA, Global Chief Operating Officer for Aon Broking and Head of Aon Analytics.

“One year into our partnership, our independent and connected model is working in bringing the best of Aon and NFP to our clients,” said Lambrou. “I am excited to work more with Doug and the entire NFP team to further enhance our collaboration and accelerate the delivery of unmatched value to our clients.”
