Greg Case, CEO of Aon, spoke about the importance of employee wellbeing at a recent Fortune CEO Perspectives virtual roundtable. Business leaders were invited to discuss how organizations can prepare a new generation to lead the workforce of the future and innovate to address their most common challenges.
On the topic of employee wellbeing, Case shared, “We have something called the Human Sustainability Index that was developed by our chief wellbeing officer that’s proven around the world -- and the financial outcomes [are] compelling and it’s the idea that wellbeing matters more than ever before.”
- The Human Sustainability Index is a data-driven approach that measures wellbeing, resilience and sustainability at the individual, team and organizational level, helping organizations make better workforce decisions by informing on measurement, innovation, strategy and inclusivity.
- Dig deeper: The COVID-19 pandemic significantly contributed to the increased emphasis on employee wellbeing. Now, factors like inflation and economic volatility are raising employer awareness of the need to support their workforce.
