Aon colleagues logged over 1,400 hours across 35 events offered in collaboration with 25 organizations in the firm’s annual Pro Bono and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event.
- The annual two-week event supports underserved individuals, organizations and communities around the world through pro bono work and community service.
- Events ranged from providing career opportunities for young people to helping others navigate complex legal landscapes.
- This is the third year Aon has hosted a global pro bono event for its Law and Compliance colleagues and the first-year all colleagues were invited to participate.

Some of the events included:
- Colleagues in India volunteered in a vaccination drive for stray dogs that are at high risk for heartworm as well as at an event to clean up, plant trees and install dustbins to improve cleanliness, health and beauty of the community.
- EMEA, UK and LATAM colleagues conducted research and analysis related to jurisdiction-specific questions to educate youth on legal issues impacting them directly.
- In North America, colleagues supported children and families navigating special education programs within the Chicago Public School system, built a diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) toolkit to help non-profit organizations improve their initiatives and donated blood to the American Red Cross.
- Aon’s CEO Greg Case participated in the pro bono program by volunteering as a facilitator in a Jury Deliberations exercise, working directly with students from New York Edge’s Excellence Project.
- Globally, panel discussions led by Darren Zeidel, general counsel at Aon with Aon Executive Committee members and General Councils from other organizations focused on the importance and value of pro bono.
“The impact this team has had is inspiring, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished this year,” said Zeidel. “This is what it means to be Aon United and to live Aon values – to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world, give back to our communities and help make the world a better place.”
