Business Insurance recently announced the finalists for the 2021 U.S. Insurance Awards, and Aon is nominated in three categories: Broker Team of the Year, Community Outreach Project of the Year and Insurance Consulting Team of the Year. The finalists were selected by senior Business Insurance staff.

The firm was nominated for Broker Team of the Year for our Hard Market Playbook, which featured 50 high-impact solutions to help clients with bankruptcies or business shutdowns. Those solutions included the Aon Resiliency Assessment, Return to the Office Risk Management strategies, and Aon’s Cyber Impact Analysis.

Aon’s Law Department was nominated for Community Outreach Project of the Year for their work on the Jim Crow Juries Project, which aims to make sure everyone gets a fair trial and to fight systemic racism in the criminal justice system. Aon Inpoint, an Aon company that engaged with a number of insurers to support them in the area of climate change transition, identifying ways in which the changing economic landscape will impact them as insurance companies, received a nomination for Insurance Consulting Team of the Year.

The 2021 Business Insurance U.S. Insurance Awards recognize excellence in the commercial insurance and risk management sector while also raising money to address the industry’s talent crisis by funding the Business Insurance Scholarship. This endowment, administered by the Spencer Educational Foundation, aims to open new opportunities to provide scholarships to risk management and insurance students.
