American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) and Shell Aviation are joining together on a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) pilot program, with Aon as the first customer.  

• The SAF program is operated by Avelia, a blockchain-powered book-and-claim platform that uses Amex GBT’s global client base to aggregate global demand for SAF. Shell Aviation will supply SAF into the aviation fuel network.
