Michal Lorinc, head of catastrophe insight at Aon, discussed the importance of data and analytics in evaluating severe weather events in “Understanding the Impact of Future Natural Disasters.”

• The article shares findings from the Global Catastrophe Recap First Half of 2022 report, showing that in our highly interconnected world, these disruptions have cascading effects globally.
• He also discusses Aon’s role in providing clients with data-driven solutions to use analytics to understand and mitigate the risks of severe weather events and assess their impact.

Later in the year, Jason Disborough, chief executive officer, multinational clients (international) at Aon, participated in a podcast episode to discuss the reputational risk and shareholder impact of “known unknown” events, called Grey Swans.

• Aon and Pentland Analytics collaborated on this report, and Aon has announced it has acquired Pentland Analytics’ data and analytics capabilities for reputational risk.

Richard Waterer, global risk consulting leader, Commercial Risk Solutions at Aon, furthered the conversation on Grey Swan events in “Protecting Your Organization’s Reputation from Known Unknowns,” discussing the importance of understanding these events and highlighting how organizations can build more resilience.

• The article also covers how Aon helps clients navigate the risk landscape to cope with the unexpected, protect their assets and enable them to continue to grow their organizations.
