Aon has often been recognized as a leader in championing inclusion and diversity (I&D)—within the firm and in the community. Fresh views and new perspectives help create an inviting work environment and ensure we continue to deliver the strongest outcomes possible to our clients. For our firm to do its best work on behalf of clients, colleagues must be able to work, express, be and live in a way that is true to themselves.
With that in mind, in 2020 Aon formed the Global Inclusive Leadership Council (GILC), comprised of 21 colleagues bringing a diverse array of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. The Council, guided by executive co-sponsors Greg Case, CEO, and Lisa Stevens, Chief People Officer, provides advice, recommendations and accountability for Aon’s I&D strategy and related actions.
One year after the establishment of the Council, GILC Co-Chairs Jennifer Bell and Eduardo Dávila join the latest episode of the “On Aon” podcast. Host Andrea O'Leary, Senior Director, Culture and Change at Aon and herself a member of the GILC, speaks with the co-chairs about what most inspires them, the exciting progress over the past year, upcoming I&D initiatives and actionable steps anyone—Aon colleagues and beyond—can take to effect change in their communities.
