Today marks International Women’s Day (IWD) – a global day recognized by the United Nations celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. IWD serves as a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
Here at Aon, we’re committed to driving gender equity in sports. We introduced the Aon Risk Reward Challenge on the PGA TOUR and the LGPA Tour in 2018 to recognize players who use information and insight to make better decisions on some of the most strategically challenging holes on the Tours. Winners on each Tour receive an equal $1 million prize. “The fact that the Aon Risk Reward Challenge runs across both Tours, and represents equality in the work, strategy and effort that both men and women put behind their game, just makes it that more special,” said Hannah Green, LGPA Tour professional and 2021 Aon Risk Reward Challenge winner.
To hear more about IWD and how the Aon Risk Reward Challenge is bringing attention to gender equity, check out the latest episode of the “On Aon” podcast, which features a discussion with Jennifer Bell, Aon’s chief executive officer, North America; Mollie Marcoux Samaan, commissioner, LPGA Tour; and Green.
