Our Colleagues’ Commitment to Social Impact
March 18, 2022
From food drives to fundraising, Aon colleagues have been doing outstanding work throughout the year to support their local communities. Here are just some of the ways our colleagues around the globe are making a difference and driving a positive societal impact.
- Aon UK colleagues raised more than £23,000 in vital funds for VaccinAid , a global organization run by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to support the biggest vaccine drive in history. The donations helped to fund and deliver 2 billion COVID-19 vaccines around the world in 2021. Aon matched all colleague donations.
- In the U.S., Aon colleagues from our Bloomington, Minnesota office provided and distributed food to those in need through food drives that supported a local Loaves & Fishes program. They also volunteered 350 hours to deliver 1,500 meals with Community Emergency Service’s Meals on Wheels.
- In Hong Kong, colleagues have been getting involved in Soap Cycling, a movement to reduce preventable hygiene-related diseases and suffering by distributing this life-saving resource to where it is needed the most. Through one of the organization’s programs, they learned about food waste issues and how to turn used coffee grounds into soap bars. In another program, they helped to sort and carve 34 kilograms of slightly used soaps donated by hotels and other hospitality groups that would otherwise end up in Hong Kong landfills.
And that’s just a few of the good works in which our colleagues are engaged. For more information about Aon’s commitment to social impact, read the latest Aon Impact Report.
