Today, we remember the 176 Aon colleagues who lost their lives in the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City.

Their loss has had a profound impact on our firm that has reverberated around the world. In the years since, Aon colleagues have honored their memory through acts of remembrance, charitable giving and support for the families whose lives were forever changed.

Yet it also revealed something fundamental about who we are: a community that stands together in moments of profound loss, supports one another through life's most important moments and remains committed to honoring our colleagues, their families and the values that define Aon at its best.” Greg Case Link to letter on LI.

In remembrance: In New York, colleagues will continue the longstanding tradition of placing a yellow rose on the name of each Aon colleague lost that day at the 9/11 Memorial.

An enduring commitment: In 2001, Aon established the Aon Memorial Education Fund to provide post-secondary educational financial assistance to the dependent children of Aon colleagues who were killed in the attacks. Thanks to the generosity of Aon clients, colleagues and friends, the Fund has provided more than $7 million in educational assistance and supported 127 beneficiaries with greater access to education.

Their legacy lives on: While much has changed over the past 25 years, our commitment to honoring the memory of our colleagues remains unwavering. Through remembrance, support for their families and a shared sense of community, we continue to carry forward their legacy.
