We’re pleased to share that Aon’s Summer Internship Program in the UK has been awarded TARGETJobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards’ Best Internship or Placement Award for 2021, which recognizes industry-leading programs in the UK designed for students to experience an organization during a placement, internship or other period of work experience.

Judges evaluated companies for the award based on how they attract, identify and retain students, the structure and implementation of the program and the opportunities created for students within the program.

During the Aon Summer Internship Program in the UK, interns receive on-the-job learning alongside colleagues in the Graduate program, providing hands-on experience with the opportunity for real client exposure. They also are automatically considered for future graduate roles at Aon; in 2020, 75 percent of our Summer Interns in the UK were offered places in the 2022 Aon Graduate Program.

The eight-week summer internship program was fully virtual during the COVID-19 pandemic, including onboarding, a buddy and peer coaching group and resources to support physical and mental wellbeing in a virtual working environment.
