In “The InsurTech evolution is transforming insurance,” we discuss how InsurTechs are evolving and how analytical tools are providing insurers new insights to accurately assess risk. InsurTechs are playing a role in driving this innovation, encouraging the industry to evaluate how best to adopt an emerging business model in response to the evolving landscape, according to Aon’s Preeti Asthana, director, head of Global Programs, Innovation and Partnerships. One example is Aon’s collaboration with Athenium Analytics to co-develop ClaimsSignal, a claims quality tool for clients.

“A value gap in analytics,” written by Karl Heery, VP of technology for Data & Analytics, Robotics Process Automation & Development Operations at Aon, discusses the value of embedding analytics into business operations. Heery expanded on this concept during a podcast with TechCentral, citing the Global Data and Analytics Services Platform (DASP) at Aon. The platform, an ecosystem that entails commercial off-the-shelf software and a cloud-based platform with service capabilities, enables data professionals to build solutions end to end, helping colleagues make more informed decisions.
