Hewitt Associates Publishes Second Edition of "Managing Compensation in Europe" – A Guide to Best Practice for Employee Pay and Benefits

Report provides analysis and insight on remuneration in the post-recession environment

Sep 1, 2010

LONDON - Hewitt Associates, a global human resources consulting and outsourcing company, has published the second edition ofManaging Compensation in Europe, a practical reference guide for managing compensation and employee benefit packages across multiple countries in Europe.

Managing Compensation in Europe analyses compensation by employee level across 18 individual markets. The report highlights reward levels and compensation mix as well as offering insights into the prevalence of different types of employee benefits and perquisites, including long-term incentives. It also provides expert commentary and analysis from Hewitt consultants.

Andrew Macleod, senior reward consultant at Hewitt Associates, said:

"In a recovering economy, employers in Europe have had to adapt and review company pay and benefit packages to ensure they are suitably aligned with not just individual performance but the wider economic conditions affecting companies.  Growth across the EU is still slow compared to previous years.  However, the speed of recovery is varying significantly from country to country and we expect it will continue to have an impact on compensation packages and employee benefits for some time to come."

Managing Compensation in Europe allows organisations to measure their own practices against their peers in European countries and also highlights key trends in remuneration practices to help companies in their decision making.

The information included in the report is drawn from Hewitt's Total Compensation Measurement TM (TCM), a global compensation database, as well as additional research.
