MUNICH, STUTTGART, WIESBADEN – Hewitt Associates, a global human resources consulting and outsourcing company, has announced that it has merged its operations in Germany into one legal entity, to be known as Hewitt Associates GmbH, with its head office in Munich.

Hewitt Associates and BodeHewitt, a leading benefits consulting firm in Germany, had worked together in a joint venture for five years. Hewitt acquired the remaining interest in Bode Hewitt AG & Co KG in July of 2009.

The newly merged entity came into operation on 1 January 2010 and will have three managing directors, Niels Rasmussen, Olaf Petersen and Georg Thurnes, and 230 associates working in Munich, Stuttgart and Wiesbaden.

Niels Rasmussen, managing director of Hewitt Associates GmbH said:

"We are delighted to bring both sides of our operations in Germany together in one entity and pleased that this final stage of the process has been accomplished so quickly.  We regarded this move as the next logical step for the organisation after working successfully together since 2005.

"We now have a clear focus with the combined company to broaden our existing capabilities into areas such as pension administration and investment consulting where we can make the best use of our knowledge and reputation within the German market and of Hewitt's global capabilities."

Georg Thurnes, managing director of Hewitt Associates GmbH said:
