GURGAON, INDIA October 7, 2011 – Aon Hewitt, the global human resource consulting and outsourcing business of Aon Corporation (NYSE: AON), today announced it has appointed Pavan Bhalla executive vice president and managing director for India, reporting to Kristi Savacool, chief executive officer of Aon Hewitt, effective immediately. Bhalla, based in Gurgaon, India, replaces Arjun Singh who is leaving the organization.

A well-rounded leader known for his management capabilities, industry knowledge and business savvy, Bhalla brings a wealth of financial acumen and corporate strategy experience to his new role.

In this role, Bhalla will be responsible for the Outsourcing and Technology businesses of Aon Hewitt in India, leading more than 9,000 colleagues and serving clients around the world.

Bhalla joins Aon Hewitt from Harris Interactive, a leading custom market research firm, where he served as CFO. Prior to that, Bhalla worked at Hewitt Associates, first as Corporate Controller and then as CFO for the Outsourcing business. Earlier in his career, Bhalla spent a number of years in the telecommunications industry working for a variety of leading organizations in senior executive positions.

Bhalla earned his bachelor’s degree in commerce from Ravenshaw College, India, and his masters of business administration degrees from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Simon Fraser University, Canada.
