LONDON, 7 November, 2016 – Aon Benfield, the global reinsurance intermediary and capital advisor of Aon plc (NYSE:AON), today announces that it received two awards from ACORD, the global standards-setting body for the insurance industry, during a recent ceremony in Boca Raton, Florida.
ACORD Awards are presented to those organizations and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in implementing ACORD Standards, which help organizations to conduct business more efficiently, both internally and externally.
At the ceremony, Aon Benfield was awarded:
- The ACORD Leadership Award – the Leadership Award recognizes organizations that demonstrate leadership effectively in the areas of Standards development, advocacy, and/or implementation. By receiving this award, Aon is recognized as having gone above and beyond in guiding the insurance industry towards greater clarity in the sharing of re/insurance data. Aon was recognized for its ongoing efforts in encouraging global partner acceptance and use of these Standards.
- The ACORD Global Citizen Award – the Global Citizen Award recognizes Aon for assisting ACORD in globalization initiatives through the expansion of Aon’s messaging engagements which have fostered new opportunities for ACORD in regions where there is little or no ACORD implementation. It has also expanded the use of ACORD Standards across geographies worldwide. Aon continues to lead the industry in global messaging efforts.
