LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill., Dec. 19, 2016 – Aon Hewitt, the global talent, retirement and health solutions business of Aon plc (NYSE: AON), is pleased to announce it was honored with two Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards for outstanding human capital management solutions in talent acquisition for its relationships with Merck KGaA , Darmstadt, Germany and Yum! Brands. Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany and Aon Hewitt won a silver medal for “Best Candidate Experience.” Yum! Brands and Aon Hewitt were awarded a silver medal for “Best Advance in Interviewing Strategy” and “Innovative Advances in Executive Selection.”
The Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards Program recognizes organizations that have successfully deployed programs, strategies, modalities, processes, systems, and tools that have achieved measurable human capital management results. Entries were evaluated by a panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts, Brandon Hall Group analysts and executives.
Aon Hewitt and Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany were recognized for their work redesigning the talent assessment process for Merk KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany. Implemented in March 2016, the new process keeps the candidate at the forefront throughout the assessment and selection process by reinforcing the brand, integrating innovative digital tools, being mindful of the time a candidate is investing in the process and expressing appreciation for candidates’ application efforts. It allowed Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany to leverage the award-winning ADEPT-15 assessment to use science in hiring and enable personalized feedback to applicants. All in all, feedback garnered from applicants, recruiters and managers using this new process was very positive.
Aon Hewitt and Yum! Brands launched its newly reenergized global leadership selection and development project in August 2016. The new process and a revamped interview toolkit aligns to Yum! Brands’ culture and leadership values, allows for stronger hiring decisions and creates a more meaningful and unique experience for candidates. The new process was instantly adopted around the world and, to date, 18 leadership candidates have completed the process.
