Aon Promotes Talent to Augment Capabilities for Global Reinsurance Clients

LONDON, 27 June 2023 - Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, today announced the evolution of the Global Reinsurance Clients (GRC) segment within its Reinsurance Solutions with a series of internal promotions. The GRC team works with the firm’s largest insurer clients to navigate volatility, optimize capital and drive performance by harnessing the insights and expertise of Aon’s global platform.

Effective immediately, Dave Nicholson has been named head of GRC. Based in Boston, he is responsible for ensuring GRC clients continue receiving tailored insights and solutions, enabling them to make better business decisions.

Additional promotions announced today reflect Aon’s commitment to delivering industry-leading capabilities and execution to support the strategic objectives of its GRC clients:

  • Jack Snowden will lead the GRC London team. He has supported GRC clients for 14 years, most recently as the account executive for QBE, a role he will continue in addition to leading the team in London.
  • Sara Rausch will lead Catastrophe Analytics for GRC. Her background and knowledge in catastrophe modelling will help drive the delivery of valuable insights to clients from Aon’s Catastrophe Analytics team.
  • Chris Higgins will serve as the Insurance Industry leader for GRC, uniting industry specialists across both Risk Capital and Human Capital to bring more strategic value to insurer clients.

Nicholson said: “I am excited to lead the GRC segment as we continue delivering data-driven insights, solutions and transactional expertise to these key clients. The team has shown enormous resilience in a dynamic market, and through the untimely passing of our beloved colleague James Buchanan. Carrying on this legacy is a humbling responsibility and I am grateful for the guidance of our GRC chairman, Bruce Selby Bennett, as the GRC generates new opportunities for our clients and colleagues.”

Snowden commented: “Leading the high-performing GRC London team is an exciting opportunity. We provide a hub for our global client teams to connect and exchange ideas to ensure that client needs are served by the best of Aon’s capabilities. I look forward to extending our value proposition and supporting this talented group of colleagues.”

Andy Marcell, CEO of Risk Capital, said: “Reinsurance Solutions product expertise, broking excellence, and Strategy and Technology Group capabilities offer global insurers the tools to drive continual operational performance. In addition to these appointments, we look forward to expanding our presence in the key markets of Bermuda and London.”
