CHICAGO, Mar. 25, 2026 - Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, today announced a new leadership structure for its U.S. specialty distribution segment within Reinsurance Solutions, spanning E&S carriers, MGAs/MGUs, program-specific carriers, hybrid fronts and delegated authority platforms.
The new structure reflects Aon’s continued investment in U.S. specialty distribution as a distinct, growth-focused business segment and has been purpose-built to support this rapidly evolving part of the market. A dedicated leadership team will oversee the segment, working together to enhance how Aon engages its specialized expertise, strengthen connectivity with carrier and MGA partners, and improve the delivery of solutions to clients.
These leaders will guide the overall strategy, execution and growth agenda for the U.S. specialty distribution segment, collaborating closely across Reinsurance, Commercial Risk, Capital Advisory and Analytics to bring coordinated, data-driven solutions to clients and trading partners.
This initiative underscores Aon’s commitment to driving client value and capturing emerging opportunities in an increasingly complex specialty distribution landscape. Key leadership appointments include:
- Sarah Freitag has been named U.S. specialty distribution leader and E&S segment leader. In this role, Freitag will be responsible for setting strategy and growth priorities, shaping investment in capabilities and coordinating with Aon’s Commercial Risk, Reinsurance, capital advisory and analytics teams to deliver integrated solutions for clients and trading partners.
- Cory Schilling has been named MGA segment leader. Schilling will lead Aon’s MGA segment strategy across MGAs, MGUs and delegated authority platforms. He will serve as the primary executive contact for MGA clients and will collaborate closely with carrier-focused leaders to align distribution strategies with client need.
- Cory Anderson has been named MGA growth leader, programs and MGAs/MGUs. Anderson will focus on driving growth across programs and MGAs/MGUs, including new program development and platform opportunities. He will coordinate with Aon’s Commercial Risk Solutions and specialty distribution teams to bring cohesive solutions to clients.
- Max McClure has been named program-focused carrier growth leader. McClure will lead growth initiatives with program-specific carriers and hybrid-front structures. He will coordinate portfolio-level interactions with reinsurers to support carrier and program strategies that enable client growth.
Steve Hofmann, CEO of Americas for Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions, said: “Clients, carriers and MGAs are operating in an increasingly complex environment, and over the past several years Aon has made significant investments in specialized talent focused on this space. This new U.S. specialty distribution leadership team unites our talent, insights and capabilities to support our clients and stakeholders in this important segment of the U.S. market.”
Client benefits of Aon’s U.S. specialty distribution segment include:
- Targeted access to specialized expertise across E&S, MGA and program channels — helping clients navigate complex placement needs with greater precision and confidence.
- Faster activation of growth opportunities through closer collaboration with carriers, MGAs and hybrid fronts — supporting clients as they scale and evolve their specialty portfolios.
- More integrated solutions and advice, drawing on Aon’s Commercial Risk, Reinsurance, capital advisory and analytics capabilities to support specialty distribution strategies end to end.
- Consistent engagement with clear points of contact and continuity across the U.S. specialty marketplace — making it easy for stakeholders to work with Aon.
Dan Duncan, president of U.S. strategy and growth for Aon, said: “This model gives us the leadership focus we need to execute even more successfully in specialty distribution. By aligning our segment and growth leaders across MGAs, programs and E&S, we can respond more quickly to opportunities, work more seamlessly with our carrier and MGA partners and shape better decisions for our clients.”
