CHICAGO, August 5, 2009 – Aon Global Risk Consulting, a part of Aon Corporation (NYSE: AOC), today announced the appointment of a new chief operating officer and the installation of a collective leadership team at Schirmer Engineering, Aon’s fire protection, life safety and security consulting business unit.

Promoted from senior vice president to chief operating officer, Mark L. Rochholz is now responsible for the operation of 16 engineering offices and the development of U.S. and international practices for Aon’s Schirmer Engineering. Rochholz has been part of the Schirmer team for 28 years.

“Mark’s extensive knowledge has helped Schirmer Engineering become a leader in fire protection, life safety and security consulting,” said Robert M. Schwiring, group managing director of Aon Global Risk Consulting. “This knowledge, along with his leadership capabilities, commitment to technical excellence and talent management skills, will help to advance the company’s global operation.”

In addition to Rochholz’s promotion, a leadership team to guide Schirmer Engineering’s offices, align and partner with other Aon practices and enable the company to leverage its global resources has been installed. The team will ensure that ideas, innovation and resources are shared across all offices and that the company’s talent management strategy to secure the best in the industry continues to flourish.
