NEW YORK – March 23, 2010 – Aon Consulting, the global benefits and human capital consulting business of Aon Corporation, today announced Viq Pervaaz joined the firm as senior vice president of corporate transactions.

In his new role, Pervaaz will work with pharmaceutical and health care clients undertaking cross-border mergers, acquisitions, spinoffs and joint ventures as well as major restructuring, outsourcing and change events.

Prior to joining Aon Consulting, Pervaaz served as vice president of global project management with MDS Pharma Services, responsible for creating a global project management office that served as a solution provider to the health care industry. Pervaaz also served on the executive management team responsible for corporate strategy and strategic alliances. Additional career highlights include serving in various leadership capacities for a Fortune 20 company.

“Viq has extensive international leadership experience with expertise in strategic relationship management, project management, operations, global team management, change management and integration,” said Mark Arian, executive vice president of Aon Consulting. “He has a strong knowledge base in, and clearly understands the needs of, the health care and pharmaceutical market and I am confident he will be a tremendous addition to our team as we continue to grow our capabilities in this sector.”

Pervaaz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from Rutgers University and is a registered pharmacist. He holds an Operational Excellence and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and received the Regulatory Affairs (RAC) and Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. He presents at numerous conferences and also served as assistant professor at Temple University.

Pervaaz joined Aon Consulting March 15 and is based in the New York office.
