LONDON, 13 January 2011 – The trustees of the Sun Chemical Limited Pension Scheme, have appointed Aon Hewitt to provide pension administration services and actuarial and pensions management advice.
Sun Chemical is the world's largest producer of printing inks and pigments and its £250 million pension fund has over 4,300 members. The scheme is frozen but the link to salary has been maintained for future accrual.
Stuart Heatley, managing director, Benefits Administration (UK & EMEA) at Aon Hewitt, said:
"We are very pleased to be taking on this wide-ranging role with the Sun Chemical pension scheme. Given the frozen nature of the plan and their objectives in the future, the trustees were keen to explore new options to improve on their previous structure and to gain new efficiencies. Thankfully, they agreed that this would be achieved by moving to Aon Hewitt's market-leading frozen plan solution."
This is one of the several new wins for Aon Hewitt and follows on from the recently announced appointment to provide pensions administration to Premier Foods.
