Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, the mental health and wellbeing of employees has been front and center in the minds of many employers. Aon’s groundbreaking 2021 Global Wellbeing Survey, which spoke to 1,648 companies across 41 countries, clearly illustrates the connection between employee wellbeing and business performance.
In episode 6 of the “On Aon” podcast, host Nico Page, Global Program Manager for Aon Business Services, speaks with Stephanie Pronk, Aon’s Senior Vice President of Commercial Risk and Health Solutions, about the importance of employee wellbeing, how businesses can approach the topic and priority focus areas moving forward. For example, of those surveyed, 87% have initiatives in place, but only 55% said they had a strategy.
Maintaining employee wellbeing needs to be a critical component of company DNA, says Pronk. “Wellbeing is more than a program. It’s a people and performance strategy.”
