In honor of International Day of Climate Action, we’re highlighting some of Aon’s commitments to our clients’ and our own corporate resiliency and sustainability. We are striving to actively identify and mitigate key environmental, social and governance risks through technology and innovation.

One way is through our involvement in COP26, the 2021 United Nations (UN) climate change conference, which took place in Glasgow from Oct. 31 to Nov. 12. Aon sponsored the COP26 Green Horizons Summit (GHS@COP26), organized by the City of London Corporation and the Green Finance Institute, with Aon CEO Greg Case speaking on the panel, “Financing Net Zero – Driving systemic transition, resilience and stability.”

The firm also had a virtual booth at the event with 400 places available for clients to interact with Aon and other attendees and exhibitors. Aon also recently endorsed Decade of Ag, a 10-year vision on collaborating toward more sustainable food systems. Sponsored by U.S. Farmers & Ranchers in Action (USFRA), Decade of Ag’s mission is to achieve a resilient, restorative, economically viable and climate-smart agricultural system that produces abundant and nutritious food, natural fiber and clean energy for a sustainable, vibrant and prosperous America.

We are also committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. Since 2015, we’ve reduced our greenhouse gas emissions by more than 60 percent, but we recognize there is much more work to be done to have a lasting impact.
