What’s new: As part of Aon’s commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, the firm has set a near-term science-based emissions reduction target, which has been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The approval means that Aon’s targets are consistent with a global goal of limiting warming to 1.5°C by 2032.
- SBTi is a partnership between CDP, an organization that runs the global disclosure system for organizations to manage their environmental impacts, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute and the World Wide Fund for Nature to increase efforts that address climate change.
