Talent at Aon: Promotions in Risk Capital and a New Leader in New Zealand

Aon recently announced two promotions for the firm’s Risk Capital capabilities and a new leader in New Zealand:

  • Aon’s Risk Capital capabilities expand the application of traditional reinsurance solutions to corporate clients and increase investment in the predictive data modeling required to address fast-growing areas of client need like climate change, intellectual property, cyber terrorism and supply chain interruption.     • Joe Peiser, CEO of Commercial Risk Solutions: Peiser joined Aon in 2021 as head of Commercial Risk for North America. In his new role, Peiser will be responsible for driving the growth of Aon’s Commercial Risk Solutions and collaborating with Reinsurance leaders across Risk Capital to develop innovative solutions that meet the emerging needs of clients.
    • Paul Shedden, head of advanced analytics in Risk Capital: Shedden will further strengthen collaboration and innovation across the analytics and broking capabilities of both Commercial Risk Solutions and Reinsurance Solutions, harnessing Aon’s technical expertise among data scientists, catastrophe modelers and actuaries for the benefit of Aon’s clients. Shedden most recently served as head of global and UK analytics for Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions and has nearly 20 years of experience in actuarial, pricing and analytics, and underwriting roles.
  • Melissa Cantell, CEO of New Zealand: Cantell will continue to make progress in helping clients shape decisions for the better and enhance Aon’s capabilities in New Zealand. Before joining Aon, Cantell served as CEO for Fidelity Life. Learn more in Insurance Business.
