In honor of International Day of Education, we want to recognize our Apprenticeship program and its efforts to bridge the skills gap by continuing to build a pipeline of diverse talent. We launched our apprenticeship program and co-founded the Chicago Apprentice Network in 2017, then recently announced a $30 million investment and expansion in late 2020. Aon, together with Accenture, JP Morgan Chase, The Hartford and Zurich Insurance, spearheaded the expansion of local apprentice networks to six new cities across the United States.
“The apprenticeship program has brought so many talented colleagues to our firm and we know it has tremendous potential to create new opportunities and professional networks for both apprentices and participating employers across the United States,” said Aon CEO Greg Case. “This is an innovative way for employers to attract and retain diverse talent, prepare future leaders and contribute to building a more future-focused, resilient workforce.”
Learn more about how Aon’s apprenticeship programs can help both employers and employees from Aon’s Global Head of Policy and Public Affairs, Bridget Gainer, who spoke with the Hechinger Report, and Janet Osborn, Head of Mid-Atlantic Region, North America, Aon, who shared insights with Techonomy.
Osborn’s appearance in Techonomy is the second of the six-part “Unexpected Innovation” series.
