Podcast Ep. 16 Focuses on Apprenticeships, Workforce Resiliency
November 02, 2021

In a world where talent is distributed equally but opportunities aren’t, apprenticeship programs can help expand individuals’ access to corporate careers — and employers’ access to incredible talent.

Ahead of U.S. National Apprenticeship Week, starting Nov. 15, the latest episode of the “On Aon” podcast features Marc Armstrong, Managing Principal, and Dawn Spreeman-Heine, Managing Director, Commercial Risk, talking about Aon’s Apprenticeship Program. Apprenticeship is a natural extension of Aon’s work, helping clients build more resilient workforces by accessing a more diverse talent pool. In addition, Marc and Dawn outline for host Alex Lewis, Chief Marketing Officer, Reinsurance, how other firms can replicate the model, expand the talent pool and create family-sustaining careers that strengthen communities.

Launched in the U.S. in 2017 in Chicago, Aon committed $30 million to scale our own award-winning apprenticeship program and launch apprentice networks with new organizations in new geographies. In 2021, Aon has launched programs in Houston, Minnesota, New York, Northern California, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
