One big thing: World leaders will meet in Dubai later this week for COP28 to discuss the steps needed for transformative climate action. The event is a milestone moment for the businesses and governments around the world to address progress on the Paris Agreement.

• In September, Aon brought together more than 200 clients and leaders across business, government and communities for a series of discussions at its New York office during New York Climate Week 2023. Read more about the week here.
• Aon, along with the International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) and the Center for Disaster Protection (CDP), have developed the InsuResilience Solutions Fund (ISF), which supports the Disaster Response Emergency Fund’s (DREF) ability to respond to natural disasters. The fund offers an insurance backstop to provide financial support to the DREF for natural disasters, including floods, earthquakes, wildfires, droughts and hurricanes around the world. • Aon is committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, the firm has set targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative in line with a 1.5-degree pathway.
