Find Out What You Missed From The “On Aon” Podcast

In April 2021, the “On Aon” podcast launched, which provides a behind-the-scenes look into our culture by highlighting colleagues and their work. Each episode features people, solutions, innovations and news that define Aon. To date, there are 23 episodes.
In case you missed a few, here is a recap of all the episodes so far:
- In Episode 1, Maria Harshbarger chats with Global Head of Policy and Public Affairs Bridget Gainer about Aon’s climate commitment, what it means to make the commitment now and the impact on colleagues and clients.
- In Episode 2, host Alexandra Lewis and guest Marinus van Driel, associate partner in Aon’s Human Capital Solutions, take on the topic of resilience. They examine what resiliency means, why it is more essential now than ever before and steps you can take to improve resiliency going forward.
- In Episode 3, host Joey Raheb and guest Jason Disborough, chief commercial officer for enterprise clients, discuss Grey Swan events, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Why don’t firms prepare for known risks? How can they mitigate and manage such events?
- Episode 4 highlights Aon’s inclusion and diversity (I&D) efforts within the firm and in the community. Host Andrea O’Leary speaks with the co-chairs of Aon’s Global Inclusive Leadership Council, Jennifer Bell and Eduardo Dávila, about what most inspires them, the exciting progress over the past year, upcoming I&D initiatives and actionable steps anyone – Aon colleagues and beyond – can take to effect change in their communities.
- Episode 5 highlights Aon’s innovative vaccine supply chain solution, which provided supply chain protection for global COVID-19 vaccine shipments. Aon announced that it would donate 100 percent of all 2021 revenues earned from this solution to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. Host Maria Harshbarger and guest Lee Meyrick, co-leader of global specialties and CEO of Global Marine, discuss the solution and the role collaboration and innovative technology played in bringing it to life.
- In Episode 6, host Nico Page speaks with Stephanie Pronk, Aon’s SVP of Commercial Risk and Health Solutions, about the importance of employee wellbeing, how businesses can approach the topic and priority focus areas moving forward as well as findings from Aon’s 2021 Global Wellbeing Survey .
- Episode 7 explores the power of public sector partnership. Host Alexandra Lewis and Joe Monaghan, CEO of Aon Public Sector Partnership, discuss the critical value of joining private and public sector forces to address these challenges. Monaghan shares a high-level view of the opportunities that these partnerships create as well as the key to Aon’s successful delivery of their most innovative initiatives.
- Episode 8 explores Aon’s innovative approach to intellectual property (IP). Host Sheena Singh speaks with Lewis Lee, CEO of Aon’s IP Solutions, about the business importance of intellectual property, how it’s evolved over time and how it can be a tremendous source of capital.He also shares Aon’s work on researching and addressing safety and engagement in inventorship.
- Episode 9 features cyber security and solutions. Host Joey Raheb is joined by Christian Hoffman, CEO of Aon’s Cyber Solutions, North America, for a conversation about the evolution of cyber risk over the past 20 years. They discuss what organizations need to be focusing on today and unpack the results of Aon’s 2021 Cyber Security Risk Report.
- In Episode 10, host Maria Harshbarger is joined by Aon’s Head of Catastrophe Insight, Steve Bowen, for a conversation about extreme weather events and helping clients prepare for long-tail risks like climate change.
- In Episode 11, Aon Affinity’s Christina Hopper and host Sheena Singh discuss how consumer behavior shifted during the COVID-19 pandemic. They touch on puppies, travel, TikTok, pandemic parenting, shifting to a remote work environment, weddings – and the coverage Aon offers consumers through Aon Affinity.
- In Episode 12, host Andrea O’Leary welcomes Aon’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Neal Mills. They discuss the challenges and possibilities still facing all of us as businesses respond to the latest stage of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Episode 13 was a special edition episode where Aon’s Eduardo Dávila welcomes guests Jim “Bones” Mackay, Aon Ambassador, former PGA TOUR and U.S Ryder Team caddie and NBC Sports Commentator; and Paul McGinley, Irish professional golfer and Ryder Cup Past Captain. They talk about the Ryder Cup, insights that drive better decisions and the Nicklaus-Jacklin Award presented by Aon.
- In Episode 14, host Fernanda Joaquim welcomes Stuart Green, global head of brand, and Kelli Clark, chief culture officer, to discuss Aon’s purpose, proposition and values and how that helps to deliver on our promise to clients.
- Episode 15 is another special episode. Host Lisa Stevens is joined by Shekhar Saxena, professor of global mental health at Harvard. Their conversation covers many topics including the importance of focusing on mental health, the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on mental health around the world and how organizations can help and support employees .
- Episode 16 focuses on apprenticeships and workforce resiliency. Marc Armstrong, managing principal, and Dawn Spreeman-Heine, managing director, talk about Aon’s Apprenticeship Program, which helps build more resilient workforces by accessing a more diverse talent pool.
- In Episode 17, host Julia Olivares is joined by Aon’s Global Co-CEO of M&A and Transactions Solutions Alistar Lester. They dive into Aon’s insights into the state of the M&A landscape, discuss key trends in the M&A space and how the ways in which we define and calculate “value” have evolved.
- Episode 18 focuses on the importance of environmental, social and governance issues (ESG) at Aon. Host Andrea O’Leary is joined by Aon’s Head of Investor Relations and ESG Leslie Follmer to discuss the importance of ESG and what it means for Aon.
- In Episode 19, host Joey Raheb is joined by Chief Operating Officer and Head of Strategic Client Advisory for Aon’s Large Account Segment, Rory Moloney. They dive into why cyber risk topped this year’s Global Risk Management Survey results, what risks didn’t crack the top 10, why the survey was created and how Aon uses the data to help clients make better decisions.
- Episode 20, the first episode of 2022, brings several Aon colleagues together to share insights on what the new year might look like as well as the trends clients should be paying attention to.
- Episode 21 features CEO Greg Case as he shares his thoughts on 2022. Case and host Andy Weitz dive into the impact of the past year,how vital engaged people leadership is to Aon’s success, how Aon will better serve clients in 2022 and what’s in store for the coming year.
- In Episode 22, host Kevin Johnson is joined by Vice President, Global Early Careers – Growth and Partnerships Meghan Parilla and Josh Williams, early careers diversity and partnership lead, to discuss Aon’s Diverse Talent Initiative and to share an update on its successes.
- Episode 23 highlights Aon’s 2021 Weather, Climate and Catastrophe Report. Host Alexandra Lewis is joined by Aon President Eric Andersen to discuss how business leaders can better identify and assess catastrophe-related risks to ensure these economic loses are protected globally.
